Year 6. We enjoy the adrenaline rush outrunning police cars.
1994, my dad was 35. He loves playing video games. I become his game buddy. Contra and Need For Speed are his textbooks teaching me care-free fun and excitement. We enjoy the adrenaline rush outrunning police cars. Brainstorming how to pass the next level rewards me an appraisal of a smart kid. Both kids of different ages love a virtual ground without punishment of beating up the authority. However one has to teach the other the compromise of growing up. The responsibility of love makes two kids start burying the inner child. Do we hide and ignore it for a lifetime? Or do we trust the urge to let it free one day? One has to decide his/her own path.
This is part of the personal stories - The Undercurrent of My 32 Years. Radical acceptance of my identity and unapologetic self-expression sets the foundation for me to question the reality and explore the underneath.
